RISIPIME XP

RISIPIME XP is combination of cefipime and Tazobactam for injection. This combination is highly effective against majority of Gram +ve and Gram -ve bacterias and above all an ideal combination for eradication of Ampc, OXA & ESBL. This property of RISIPIME XP makes it suitable as a carbopenam saving strategy.

RISIPIME XP 281.25
Cefipime Hydrochloride

Equivalent to cefipime     –     250mg.

Tazobactam Sodium

Equivalent to Tazobactam     –     31.25mg –

 RISIPIME XP 562.5

Cefipime Hydrochloride

Equivalent to cefipime     –     500mg.

Tazobactam sodium     –     62.5mg

Equivalent to Tazobactam

Doses & Administration:

Pneumonia  – 1 to 2 gm IV in two doses for 10 days.

Febrile Neutropenia  – 2 gm Iv in three divided doses for 7 days.  

UTI  –  0.5 to 1 gm IM in two divided doses for 7 to 10 days depending upon sensity.

SEVERE UTI –  2 gm I.V. in two divided doses for 10 days.

Skin & Skin Structure – 2 gm I.V. In two divided doses for 7 days.

Intra Abdominal  Infection– 2 gm I.V in two divided doses for 10 days.

Paediatric

50 mg/kg / doses twice a day.

Reconstitution 

I.V  –  The content of vial to be diluted with 10 ml. sterile water. This solution shall be added with compatable IV fluid. The mixture is stable for 24 hrs at room temperature of 20-250 C.

I.M  –  The content of vial is mixed with 2.4 ml of sterile water. The solution is stable for several hrs. at room temperature of 20-250 C.
