LVJ

Composition – 

LVJ 500 tablets.

Each film coated tablet contains levofloxacin Hemi hydrate Equivalent to levofloxacin 500 mg.

Mode of Action – LVJ exterts anti-bacterial action by inhabiting bacterial DNA gyrase (the enzyme required for DNA replication, transcription, repair and recomposition). It is effective against wide range of gram +ve & -ve bacteria.

Tmax  –    1 to 2 hr.

Protein Binding –    30 to 40%.   

Indication & Dosage – 

Acute sinusitis – Once daily for 7 to 14 days.

AECB – Once daily for 7 days.

Community Acquired Pneumonia – Once for 7 to 14 days.

Typhoid – Once 7 to 14 days.

Complicated UTI – Once for 14 to 21 days.

Skin Infection – Once for 7 to 10 days.

Contra – Indication – 1). Child below 18 years.

2). Hypersensitivity.

3). Pregnancy.

Adverse Reaction – Nausla, Vomiting Diarrhea, constipation, headache. 

Presentation –  10 strips of 10 tablets in a box.
